The tradition of Bendigo continues, this year with a great turnout of models

With many of us arriving late Saturday morning, the guys from the Bendigo RCAC had the field all ready and in immaculate condition. It was great to see more grass on the strips than in previous years - there has obviously been slightly more rain!

Well it was off to the State Field for our scale day there and it is a fair way out of Melbourne to get to it ,though with the countryside is nice and green it was a pleasant drive getting there.

Self-launching gliders demonstrated at Lusse

During the World Gliding Championships at Lüsse, Sunday 10th August was partly devoted to a demonstration of several self-launching gliders. After long periods under development, they are apparently now considered ready for display at gliding meetings. Whether there will be sufficient interest in the sailplane market for them to be produced in large numbers, remains to be seen.

A Meeting of Minds
